A
Brief History Lesson
In
1994 a company called Highbridge was created to provide
applicant tracking software for staffing agencies. The first product was
called EZaccess. The company was soon renamed to EZaccess to match.
Some
time in 1998 EZaccess was renamed to Personic Software,
and later to Personic. Personic used the technology underpinning EZaccess
to develop an associated product, Workflow for Human Resources departments.
Broadly, EZaccess is for "external" recruiting and Workflow
is for "internal" recruiting.
In
the Spring of 2000 Personic very nearly went public, with a very enthusiastic
"buy" recommendation from Credit Suisse First Boston but missed
the opportunity by a hair's breadth. The "dot com" crash and
recession hit.
Personic
survived -barely- and in June 2002 was bought out by a company called
Xperius. The records show that Xperius is led and staffed by the same
people who led and staffed Personic. Draw your own conclusions.
In
July 2003 Xperius was bought by Unicru. Unicru assumed the support of
EZaccess and Workflow product lines and customers.
In
March 2004 the company and its assets were bought by Bond, as announced
here.
